Taste of Music was presented annually to all fourth and fifth-grade students from Southwest Colorado. Students heard performances by the Fort Lewis College Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and Choir.

This event was designed to appeal to and introduce students to various large ensemble performances as they prepared to choose an instrument in sixth grade.
