Family Concert & picnic

a kid-friendly evening!

Each year, a highlight of our summer Festival is our kid-friendly Family Concert and Picnic. This annual educational family concert and dinner is designed to share the joy of classical music with the next generation!

Each ticket includes a hot dog dinner (complete with root beer floats!) prior to this Festival Orchestra concert designed for children and their families. We are committed to keeping the ticket prices of this even low, at only $5.00 per ticket, to ensure they are accessible for all of our community’s families.

“You will love it, Sam-I-Am!” Enjoy a merry, whiz-bang romp through the Dr. Seuss classic that incorporates sophisticated references to familiar classical and popular music. Next up is Rossini’s Overture to William Tell, one of the world’s most recognizable and loved pieces, often used in radio, television, and film as the theme from The Lone Ranger. This high-energy concert will delight music enthusiasts of any age!

Pieces to be performed include:

ROBERT KAPILOW: Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham

GIOACHINO ROSSINI: Overture to William Tell
